The Dossier ("the app") is a group trip-planning app operated by Hive Holdings Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in New Zealand. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the app you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the app and let you plan trips with others:

• Account information — your email address, which you use to sign in, and the display name and optional profile photo you choose.
• Content you create — the trips, outfits and photos, places, agenda items, comments and reactions you add to the app.
• Technical information — limited data needed to operate and secure the service, such as basic log information.

We do not collect your device's precise location, and we do not use your data for advertising.

How we use your information

• To provide the app and keep your trips in sync across devices.
• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To show the content you add to people you have invited to the same trip.
• To respond to you when you contact us for support.

How your information is shared

• With people on your trips — content you add to a shared dossier is visible to the other members of that trip. This is a core feature of the app.
• With service providers — we use Supabase to host our database, authentication and file storage, and Google Maps Platform to provide place search and maps. These providers process data on our behalf so the app can function.
• For legal reasons — if required to by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We do not sell your personal information.

How your information is stored and protected

Your information is stored with our hosting provider and is encrypted in transit. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and the information associated with it at any time by emailing hi@dossierapp.co, and we will action your request.

Children

The Dossier is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at hi@dossierapp.co.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above.
